Ramaz Khomeriki — Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University # Detection of “spatial” temperature by temporal statistics # We investigate temporal consequences of spatial thermalization in multimode nonlinear optical systems on the basis of waveguide arrays. The recent activities (see e.g. L.G. Wright, F.O. Wu, D.N. Christodoulides, F.W. Wise, Nature Physics, v. 18, 1018, 2022) indicate that spatial optical modes with a given frequency undergo thermalization with respect to propagation constant distribution and thus are characterized by “spatial” temperature and chemical potential. Our aim is to translate these thermal characteristics into the usual temporal domain placing hypothetically classical or quantum particle into the potential created by those spatial modes and study the dependence of temporal statistics of the particle on the “spatial” thermal characteristics of optical modes.
