What is abstraction?  #
Can we quantify how abstract a representation is? We know that abstraction develops with depth along biological or artificial neural hierarchies. We know that abstraction has to do with data independence and invariances. These insights will be studied and tested quantitatively in deep belief networks.   (either a talk or a poster will be fine)
