Abstract
TOne of the open problems in the physics of magnetic systems is understanding the hysteretic behavior of thin films. Experimental studies of thin magnetic films show several new features in comparison to three dimensional systems, due to more complex domain structures. In this contribution, we study the effect of dipolar interaction on domain wall motion for both magnetically uncharged and charged walls, focusing on hysteretic properties and Barkhausen noise.
